When you sign in with Discord, we receive your Discord user id, username, and avatar. On the Profile screen, you additionally provide a display username, your Discord handle, and (optionally) a city. When you search for or host a pod, we store your chosen game, format, playstyle, power brackets (if applicable), match type, location name, schedule, and any notes you add.
Your username, Discord handle, and avatar are visible to hosts and searchers as part of the normal matching flow: a host sees this information for anyone who requests to join their pod, and once accepted, every member of a pod sees it for every other member. This is the core purpose of the Service — matching you with people you can then reach on Discord — so this sharing can't be turned off while using PodFinder.
When a pod you're part of is marked as matched, a permanent record (game, format, date, and the roster of members at that time) is kept so you and the other members can look back on past games. You can remove an entry from your own "Past Pods" list at any time; this hides it from your view without erasing it for the other members it's shared with.
PodFinder uses two small, non-tracking cookies to remember your display preferences: one for your chosen language (English/French) and one for light/dark theme. Neither is used for advertising or analytics.
Your data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database. Access is restricted by row-level security policies so that, in general, you can only read and write your own data plus what's needed to run the matching features described above.
You can update your profile information at any time from the Profile screen. You can permanently delete your account and its associated data (subject to the pod-history note above) from the same screen — this is irreversible.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Expired or matched pods are automatically cleaned up on a schedule, independent of whether you delete your account.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
